build day coming soon.

for those of you who are serious about playing. we need to get together for a build day. so we can all have weapons of our own. we can always be using our loner weapons. weapons take a lot to maintain when we play so much. and since all the weapons are at my moms. i am the only one who maintains them. it gets old having to fix all the weapons.


so. i am waiting for a warmer weekend to build. there is no official day set yet. so if you can. each of you get your own roll of padding. some sort of core(pvc, fiberglass, etc), duct tape, and DAP glue. have it ready so when i call upon everyone, we can build together!

i have fixed the weapons outside in the cold. and the dap seems to bond pretty good. so hopefully we get a warm weekend and we can dress warm and build in my garage.


Blue Camping Foam (Walmart Ozark Trail brand) - Available at Walmart. Majority of Dagorhir weapons are made from this foam. http://drentha.com/images/supplies/blue_foam.jpg

PVC pipe - Found in any home repair or plumbing store. Usually measured by INSIDE Diameter. 1/2" is good for up to about a 40" weapon. 3/4" is recommended above that up to about 6'. 1" or more is recommended for polearms.

it equals just under 30 dollars. BUT, if we all pitch in 20 dollars we could share DAP and duct tape. and we can all build together.

so i can put our money together and i will keep track of who brings it. that way you dont get screwed out of the money.

dont forget....one roll of foam equals 2 blue swords. or one big red sword. so you get the idea that you can probably get two weapons for 20 bucks!

also....if you dont feel like making your own. you can ask marty to build you one. it is going to better quality for sure. but one blue sword is about 20 bucks. if he agrees, pay him. and he will get it to you as soon as he can. but remember, you are relying on someone else. so dont be mad if you dont get it fast enough. marty has a life other than making all our weapons for us...LOL

I need to make a 66 inch claymore that is as thin and light as possible. Can anyone help?
